Christopher Ratté
Christopher Ratté
Christopher Ratté is a classical archaeologist specializing in the archaeology of western Asia Minor. His publications include numerous field reports on the excavations at Sardis and Aphrodisias, a monograph on Lydian architecture at Sardis, and he has coedited volumes on recent research at Aphrodisias, the cities of Asia Minor in late antiquity, and the Aphrodisias Regional Survey, which he directed. Ratté was educated at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley, and he is currently professor of classical archaeology in the Departments of Classical Studies and the History of Art and is director of the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology.
