Rebecca J. Sweetman
Rebecca Sweetman is Reader in Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of St Andrews. A former assistant director of the British School at Athens, she has collaborated on a number of projects including the Acropolis Basilica, Sparta, and Phylakopi on Melos. Her most recent research concerns the topography of Late Antique churches in the Peloponnese, which examines the evidence of phased Christianization using theories of strategic change. She is currently working on the Cyclades in the Roman and Late Antique periods. She is author of The Mosaics of Roman Crete (Cambridge 2013) and editor of Roman Colonies in the First Century of Their Foundation (Oxford 2011).
