Sergio Sgalambro
Sergio Sgalambro is an architect at the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici del Lazio (Rome) of the Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo. His work engages mainly the aspects of surveying, analyzing, and the reconstruction of ancient monuments. Sgalambro has published many studies, with particular attention to the building aspects and the architectural criteria of imperial villas of the Tiburtina area and the Aniene Valley (Villa di Orazio in Licenza, Villa di Traiano in Arcinazzo Romano) and of important monuments located in Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli (Cento camerelle, Antinoeion, Torre di Roccabruna, and Palestra). He has directed restorations in various construction sites of the Soprintendenza.
