Tim Penn

Tim Penn received his doctorate from the University of Edinburgh on the funerary archaeology of Roman and Late Antique Italy. He has since held posts at the Universities of Oxford, Leicester, and Edinburgh, and is now a lecturer in Roman and Late Antique Material Culture in the Department of Classics at the University of Reading. His research interests include Roman and Late Antique funerary archaeology, urbanism, and portable material culture. Tim contributes to field projects in Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt.
